How They Got In and Why They Chose Sonos
Section titled “How They Got In and Why They Chose Sonos”- Entry point: I remember it was 2020, when Sonos launched Arc, and I started to know this brand. I saw someone introducing it on the Internet. It came from the United States, and the price was high. Due to my life plans at the time, it was not appropriate to spend money (I was about to live in Taiwan 😂), so I could only wait and see. It wasn’t until I bought two Era 300 last year that I officially got into the trap 🙂↕️
- Cross-brand comparison: Sony, I’ve been acquainted with the Japanese brand (games/movies) since I was little. I’ve always wanted to own their home audio and video equipment. TVs are my first choice, and I think they do better audio than other companies.
- One line for beginners: Asking means buying, just buy it
Room Setup and Tuning
Section titled “Room Setup and Tuning”- Placement and constraints: Arc Ultra is placed on the TV cabinet, and the rear surround Era 300 is placed on the cabinets on both sides of the sofa. Hakka placement method
- Trueplay feedback: I have used it. I don’t know if it is because I recently changed the router and reset the entire set of speakers. It feels better than before.
- Subwoofer decision: It’s not yet time to buy a Sub, you may want to wait until the space is larger before considering it.
Day-to-Day Experience
Section titled “Day-to-Day Experience”- What they like most about Sonos: Each product has its own characteristics, one is powerful enough, and a combination of multiples can go further… There is also white, there is a white option, it goes well with the decoration of your home!
- Who likes Sonos the most at home: Now it is Arc Ultra. Before I bought it, Era 300 was also very powerful for front-end use. However, to have a complete experience, I still need to add AU.
- Mistaken for other gear: My neighbor who works at an audio equipment company thinks Sonos’ packaging design is excellent and wants to refer to it and make suggestions to customers.
Pain Points and Wishlist
Section titled “Pain Points and Wishlist”- Most frustrating issue: The app is difficult to use. I hope this part can be improved. The UI scores 80 points and the UX is unqualified.
- Feature request: Like SonoSequencer, you can customize all its speakers to create your favorite audio combination.
Test Content and Preferences
Section titled “Test Content and Preferences”- Music used for testing: I even listen to K-pop, so if you ask me, I’m not sure 😂😂
- Movies used for testing: Most of them should be introduced in the movie/drama version. I recently watched Disney+’s Revenge, and I still feel that watching movies is the best way to bring out the full power of the entire set of speakers.

- Most absurd thing they did: I should be fine, I bought another cabinet to place the Era 300, but I have this storage need
- Dream setup if budget was unlimited: I should buy the Five that is highly recommended on the website to build a really big complete set💰💰
- Final note: I hope everyone can continue to share information with each other. Fortunately, there are now agents in Taiwan, giving you more reasons to buy Sonos products.
